  1. Hi, I am an amateur learner of GameMaker Studio.

I like GameMaker Studio very much because this software looks powerful. Since I am only an amateur learner, I really need a nice book to teach me GameMaker language.

"GameMaker Game Programming with GML" looks professional and excellent! The cover of this book is so interesting. It looks like a screenshot of a good platform game or a good platform example. I like to play platform games and I also hope to make an exciting platform game. I believe that the tutorial in the book can help me to learn many techniques of making platform games.

The author Matthew DeLucas is a gameplay engineer in game industry in USA and therefore he must have a lot of professional programming knowledge. I expect that readers can obtain much programming knowledge after reading the book.

I notice that the match-three puzzle tutorials are also in this book. This is very very good because there is no other GameMaker book with tutorial of this kind of game in the market. In conclusion, I believe that readers can learn many good things from this GameMaker book.!!

  2. Hi,
I have seen several books about GameMaker, several tutorials. But all of them are using the GUI Interface of GameMaker. This is not bad, but for a developer its important to have a GML reference.
GameMaker Game Programming with GML is the first GameMaker book focused on GML language which is very important. For me this is the first GameMaker book for advanced users and developers.
I live outside the US, so hope to win a eBook :)
    Thanks for creating this book!
